Clinical:
1. Develops and implements operating policies and procedures for the Dallah Home Care and ensures that procedures and workflow are consistent with Dallah Home Care objective, protocol, regulations, standards and that operations conform to established environment, safety and infection control requirements.
2. Ensuring that the highest standard of clinical care is maintained by the introduction and implementation of a systemic approach to planning and delivery of nursing care, allocating available resources and the nursing staff responsibilities appropriately, providing adequate supervision and guidance where necessary.
3. Oversees and coordinates the patient's plan of care and monitors the multidisciplinary activities to help ensure quality in patient care.
4. Evaluates nursing care and practice through rounds, patient observation, skills and competency audit, bedside clinical mentoring, documentation and performance improvement activities, taking action based upon evidence based practices,
5. Ensures that the appropriate records of the patients progress are maintained according to the unit's policies and procedures.
6. Ensures and foster a good relationship between all healthcare professionals.
7. Organizes the flow of information to ensure effective communication with staff regarding patient care, standards of care, and changing operational methods, policies and procedures.
8. Develops and coordinates the Quality Improvement Program within his / her area of responsibilities.
9. Promotes patient's and family education and patient care centered.
Administrative:
1. Ensures that the Dallah Home Care has an appropriate staffing establishment by allocating annual leave, shifts and duties, and by coordinating and monitoring activities of all staff in the delivery of patient care.
2. Provide professional and administrative supervision and leadership to professional nursing staff, allocates and evaluates work, provides guidance and training, and participates in hiring and performance management decision making as appropriate.
3. Assesses levels of performance, untoward incidents, accidents and staff sickness of all the nursing staff in the unit and reports to the Director of Nursing as appropriate for the purpose of promotion, re-contracting and release.
4. Anticipating, identifying, resolving, preventing problems and reports to Director of Nursing where ongoing problems cannot be resolved.
5. Maintains an up-to-date record of all drugs, IV fluids, etc., as required by the Pharmacy, and ensures that the rules and regulations governing the administration, storage and custody of all drugs in particular controlled drugs and narcotics are strictly observed at all times.
6. Communicate and liaises with all unit/ hospital departments as needed
7. Communicate and liaise with Biomedical staff for evaluating and testing of all new equipment, defective instruments and malfunctioning of equipment.
8. Maintains inventories of medical and operating supplies and equipment and ensures the functionality of Dallah Home Care facilities.
9. Assists with planning and budgeting exercise with the Director of Nursing, and act as Nursing Supervisor as required.
10.Acts for Director of Nursing as delegated.
11. Provides unit statistics as required according to agreed guidelines, for statistical gathering.
12.Ensures that all staff knows and understand and follow department policies and procedures concerning CPR, fire and safety, major disaster, etc. and are familiar with the use and functions of all the equipment of Dallah Home Care.
13.Ensures ongoing review and revision of nursing policies and procedures.
14.Plans, provide and participates in Unit or Hospital-wide clinical and professional educational activities. Liaises with Nursing Educator as necessary.
15.Promote personal professional growth, educational and career development plans of staff.
16.Acts as a role model for professional nursing practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, effective and efficient use of systems and responsible use of approved lines of communication. Staff should be competent as follows:
1. Act as resource and delegates appropriately during emergent situations such as patient emergencies e.g. Code, Disaster emergencies.
2. Initiates and utilizes the next step in the chain of command if administrative, clinical or safety issues remain unresolved after initial intervention.
3. Act according to Standards, Values and Rules that guide our conduct and behavior.
4. Ability to develop and maintain effective communication and work relationship with physician, healthcare personnel, patients, relatives and others.
5. To be able to work collaboratively by helping each other to achieve the individual and team objectives.
6. Able to maintain the highest standards of job-related technical knowledge and expertise.
7. Able to take action to address problems, barriers, and opportunities through conducting logical, factual and reasoned analysis. Weighing different options to make sound judgment before deciding on an appropriate course of action and then taking it.

11. Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families to better understand and participate in their care and make well informed care decisions.
12.Participates, implements and monitors the Performance Improvement Programs in the unit, including development of unit objectives, compliance with safety regulations or programs and the incident reporting process.
13.Performs any other duties within the range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by Director of Nursing.
Requirements
Six years post-basic experience that must include.
Two years experience as a Charge Nurse in the relevant specialties.
Good command of English
Previous experience in Middle Eastern healthcare
Education and Certification Requirements
Appropriate qualification and statutory nursing registration in the
country from where recruited.
BSN / RN.
First-line of management certificate.
Valid BLS certificate.
Valid ACLS certificate.
