Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming and positive first impression.
- Ascertain party size, reservation status and seating preferences.
- Efficiently seat guests according to wait times, table availability, and reservation schedule.
- Manage the waiting list during peak times, providing accurate wait time estimates and keeping guests informed.
- Answer guest inquiries regarding the menu, daily specials, and restaurant policies with a knowledgeable and friendly demeanour.
- Assist departing guests and express appreciation for their visit.
- Maintain an accurate and organized seating chart, ensuring smooth table coordination for wait staff.
- Prepare waiting areas for guests, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.
- Assist with answering phone calls and taking reservations.
- Collaborate with wait staff and restaurant managers to ensure a seamless flow of service.
- Uphold all company policies and procedures regarding guest service, safety, and sanitation.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with guests and build rapport.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, a team player mentality, and a genuine desire to provide exceptional guest service.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and maintain a professional demeanour.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
