Job Description

The Housekeeping Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the housekeeping department. This position is responsible for coordinating daily housekeeping activities, managing staff schedules, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and assign daily workloads to housekeeping staff, ensuring equitable distribution of tasks and optimal use of resources
  • Coordinate room assignments and track room statuses, communicating updates to the front desk
  • Receive, record and transmit guest requests accurately
  • Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities
  • Provide administrative support to the housekeeping department, including maintaining staff records and generating reports
  • Assist with training and communication for housekeeping staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and cleaning protocols
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints related to housekeeping services
  • Coordinate with other departments like maintenance and front office to resolve issues
