The HR Executive in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company is responsible for supporting various aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with HR policies and regulations. This role involves working closely with employees and managers to address HR-related needs and issues, as well as implementing HR initiatives to support organizational goals and objectives. The HR Executive serves as a key point of contact for HR-related inquiries and provides guidance and support to both employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Coordinate the recruitment process for open positions, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Manage onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation sessions, completion of paperwork, and introduction to company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment of staffing requirements.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and assistance in resolving issues in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or misconduct allegations, working with appropriate stakeholders to address issues and ensure fair and equitable outcomes.
- Promote positive employee relations and a supportive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and recognition programs.
- Performance Management:
- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters, including performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Track and analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for employee development.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and opportunities for employee development based on organizational goals, performance evaluations, and skills assessments.
- Coordinate training programs and initiatives, including scheduling sessions, securing trainers or resources, and tracking attendance and effectiveness.
- Support career development and succession planning efforts by providing resources and guidance to employees and managers.
- HR Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR-related documentation, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
- Manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data entry and updates, including employee information, payroll changes, and organizational updates.
- Stay informed about HR laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) is a plus.
- Proven experience in human resources roles, preferably in the FMCG industry or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations, with knowledge of employment law and labor relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS software, Microsoft Office suite, and other HR-related tools and systems.
