The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work from our Dubai office, providing a full HR operational support service to our Savills UAE businesses. This is a broad generalist role encompassing day-to-day HR delivery, support to the HR team in all areas and ad-hoc project work. The successful candidate will support and take ownership for employee relations case work, managing and completing processes independently with the support of the HR Business Partner Middle East and wider regional team based from the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for matters of employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment
- Assist with reporting and analytics to plc as well as any local country or regional-level reporting
- Assist with conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring fair and consistent outcomes
- Escalate complex employee relations issues to the HRBP and assist with cases where appropriate
- Advising managers regarding probationary reviews, including probationary extensions, where required
- Assist with annual appraisal and promotion process
- Liaise with Training Development Manager and HRBP with identifying employee training needs
- Liaise with the recruitment team and IT team to ensure a smooth onboarding of new joiners
- Assist the recruitment team with interviewing scheduling, conduction pre-screening interviews, face to face or virtual first round HR interviews, and any pre-boarding processes
- Be responsible for the full operational visa process for new joiners, visa renewals, and leavers. Escalate issues or delays to HRBP whenever needed
- Work with managers to ensure a full, smooth onboarding process and assist in the delivery of induction program to new joiners
- HR Business Improvement Champion analysing where HR processes and systems can be made more effective and efficient, making suggestions for efficiencies and driving these through to successful completion
- Work with HRBP on improving onboarding and offboarding processes
- Work on other ad hoc HR projects and operational improvement/Change Management tasks
- Support the development of junior/administration HR staff in the team
- Data management ensuring integrity and accuracy of data on internal systems and playing a key role in improving and influencing the team's use of systems and efficiency tools
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist in the UAE (minimum 4-5 years)
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labour laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to details and strong execution skills
- Good planning and organisational skills
- CIPD certification is a plus
