Job Purpose

As HR Policy Manager, you will provide comprehensive support to Manager HR Policy on the research, design, creation, development and publication of global and country specific HR policy for the Emirates Group ensuring compliance with local legislation, and alignment to corporate philosophy and changing business needs.



In this role, you will:



  • Develop progressive HR policy content aligned to strategic objectives, considering the needs of employees and business, focussing on modernisation of style, content, language and accessibility.

  • Manage policy reviews ensuring effective communication to, and engagement of, stakeholders. Where the activity results in change, engage relevant stakeholders in the change activity through coaching and upskilling and support them with strategies for practical implementation. Following policy reviews manage any policy change cascade and audit.

  • Manage policy related queries, acting as first point of contact for all queries, monitoring trends and identifying innovative ways for the team to manage future policy communication and queries. Where required coach the teams within HR on policy application and implementation.

  • Focus on continuous improvement, developing and embedding a process for horizon / environment scanning by capturing intelligence, analysing, and reporting on it with a view to supporting future planning and decision making.

  • Knowledge management of HR policy and related content with the aim of enhancing the customer experience, simplifying policy update and maintenance, and resulting in efficiency gains for both the HR Policy team and our customers.

  • Manage periodic review and the ongoing development of companywide contracts / offer letters to ensure compliance with local legislation and company policy and ensuring the content is user friendly, while protecting the company interest. This also includes project management of the Contract Management migration.

  • In the absence of Manager HR Policy support SVP HR Compensation & Benefits. Manage the Policy team on their daily work schedules, and act as the HR Policy representative on other forums as required.


Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree or Honours.

  • Minimum 8+ Years of experience in extensive policy design and implementation for both start up scenarios and evolution of existing content.

  • Previous experience in an HR policy role focussing on modernisation of style, content, language and accessibility, to ensure HR policies are fit for purpose, and align with the business and HR strategy.

  • Project management experience and a track record of designing and implementing complex projects.

  • Ability to apply professional/specialist knowledge to analyse complex problems and recommend solutions/plans of action.

  • HR Systems knowledge, with previous experience of partnering with an IT function on system solutions.
