Job duties and responsibilities- Advise and be able to instruct on various safety related topics (use of machinery, noise levels etc.)
Capable of reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to the countrys regulations.- Support the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and programs.
Initiate and organize OHS training programs for employees to remain consistent.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques and promote safety initiatives.
Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment, not following safety standards etc.)- Compile safety programs and practice safe working techniques within the company.
Oversee installations, maintenance, and disposal of hazardous materials in a proper manner.
- Capable of keeping record of and investigating incidents to determine causes and handle workers compensation claims.
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.- Regularly inspect equipment and machinery and maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
- Job qualifications/requirements
2-4 years of experience working as a HSE officer in any GCC country within the construction or oil & gas industry.- Preferably candidates with a
NEBOSH certificate
and approved from Trakhees/DM.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
- Experienced in writing reports and policies for health and safety and knowledgeable in hazardous materials and practices.
