Dubai Asset Management maintains a substantial presence in Dubai with a leasing portfolio of 15 distinct residential communities, elevating the city's global recognition as one of the most desirable and livable destinations worldwide.

Role Purpose:

The role holder is responsible for supporting the execution of all initiatives related to Health, Safety and Environment of the specific DHAM portfolio / entities and provide operational assistance on HSE related issues such as hazard analysis, risk assessment / identification evaluation and research control measures for accident prevention, hazardous material management, emergency preparedness, fire / life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulatory compliance etc.

Job Responsibilities:

Emergency Management

Monitor to ensure all DHAM entities have emergency response systems, first aid arrangements, policies and procedures in place to manage emergency situations.

Participate in all emergency exercises and follow up on identified actions and measures.

Lead incident investigation and identify root cause and implement preventative actions to avoid similar instances / occurrences.

Operations & Investigations / Inspections

Conduct periodic inspections and undertake various measures necessary for effective control of personal injury, ill health, prevention of pollution that may include risk & environmental impact assessments.

Coordinate to ensure potential high-risk activities involved during modification, relocation and facilities work and activities follow Permit to Work System to mitigate fatal risks and dangerous occurrences.

Conduct assessments and support with internal and external audits to ensure all HSE procedures are in compliance and in line with DHAM HSEMS.

Prepare reports on performance of DHAM entities against HSEMS with appropriate analysis, statistics and reviews and share with the line manager for further action.

Conduct HSE Operational meeting with key stakeholders to discuss and review related HSE matters and risks pertaining to the specific entity.

Documentation & Tendering

Record and report all incidents for investigations as per DHAM expectations through work management system or any other suitable means.

Support the Manager in assessing incident trends and reviewing of overall HSE performance.

Retain and secure all relevant HSE documents in line with DHAM policies.

Support the Managers in preparing the necessary scope of work on health and safety for new tenders as applicable to the nature of activity.

Regularly update the DHAM HSE critical risk register and document all risk mitigation measures and conduct regular follow ups to ensure the CRR status is updated with acceptable risk rating.

Inter Departmental & Government Coordination

Coordinate with FM operations / building projects, infrastructure and fit out teams and other relevant department who are in association with HSE for effective implementation of DHAM HSE policy.

Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure risk & legal register and environmental impact assessment procedures are followed.

Coordinate and support the Manager to organize HSE committee meetings in line with DHAM HSE governance charter and assist in recording all key HSE matters for its resolution and action.

Conduct HSE review of land and buildings during pre-sale, lease renewal to ensure the business partners are complying with HSE requirements to prevent business interruption due to their nature of activity.

Service Provider Performance Monitoring

Monitor the performance of the third-party service providers to ensure the HSE scope is delivered as desired. Highlight and escalate issues to the Manager as and when required. Support with Trainings & Workshops

Support the Manager by preparing the training and workshop materials for HSE stakeholders. Coordinate to organize suitable training and awareness programs to identified stakeholders.

Continual Improvement

Promote safe work environment through (fatal risk mitigation, personal safety, workplace safety, mechanical safety, electrical safety, dangerous goods safety, fire safety and event management).

Execute ecofriendly practices, such as resources conservation, air management, water management, soil management, noise management, waste management etc.

Identify operational challenges in coordination with FM operations and other relevant stakeholders and incorporate improvements as necessary.

Record incidents /accidents and near misses to assess the trend and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement necessary corrective and preventive action.

About you:

Bachelor's Degree in Environment, Occupational Safety & Health or Engineering.

A current relevant health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma/IOSH/CSP Certificate or equivalent) is essential.

Competency certification (e.g., Lead Auditor ISO 45001 /OHSAS 18001) is desirable.

IOSH membership or similar association is desirable.

Minimum 4 years of experience in HSE management system.

Demonstrated experience in OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001.

Full conversant with international HSE standards, codes and industry practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Adequate Local HSE legislation, international standards and best practices.

Strong skills in crisis management.

Thorough and accurate with attention to detail.

First Aid knowledge.

Excellent report writing skills.

Excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Computer skills are essential.
