Purpose
Implement and improve the approved Safety Management System and Security Management System.
Audit all departments against both systems Safety Management System and Security Management System.
Responsible for investigating all areas of Crime resolution & Inventory Losses in designated store. Promotes & supports company shrink reduction programs, resolve Internal & External theft. Do support investigations as directed by Safety & Security Manager or can carry out investigations independently if deemed necessary.
Responsible for supporting the Risk Specialist in reducing the shrink of the store, and where applicable, the functions and duties as identified within the IKEA Loss Prevention and Safety Plan (LPSP).
Responsible for mitigating risk and minimizing loss through effective Loss Prevention techniques (KRI's & RCSA) and Safety and Security measures in the store.
Accountabilities
- Ensure that Physical security of the store is maintained to its optimum level at all times.
- Should ensure that cyclic inventories are taking place in timely & efficient manner throughout the store.
- Validating & signing off all the cyclic Inventory.
- Investigate & report any loss or discrepancies in the Inventory counts.
- Ensure all Loss prevention security systems are functioning and maintained at an effective operational level at all times. These systems include, Intrusion, Panic and Hold-Up alarms, Evacuation System, Communications Systems, Camera Systems and Access Control Systems, etc.
- Support the Store Safety & Security Manager in all changes done to the store safety and security systems to ensure that the new solutions meet the required standards and operate effectively.
- Support the Safety & Security Manager in implementing effective response measures and actions after a security or safety incident has taken place.
- Do random spot checks on cashiers through CCTV, observations & till checks.
- Support the Safety & Security Manager in meeting or exceeding P&L objectives i.e. reducing fraud, securing and protecting IKEA assets, helping in insurance claims.
- Ensure compliance with IKEA Risk Management standards (Group Risk Manual, Safety/Security Operations Manual, LPSP) on a consistent basis via a regular series of audits, follow-up, education & training, and reports.
- Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera equipment
- Document all incidents that relate to potential liability for IKEA
- Partner with managers and co-workers to influence and support overall positive working environment to include actions to secure a safe working environment
- Conduct internal and external theft and fraud investigations
- Detect internal and external theft; make apprehensions as necessary
- Develop, maintain and Conduct trainings
- Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned
Experience
- 1-2 years experience in the retail sector and home furnishing.
- Aware of standard loss prevention, health, safety and security principles.
- Able to work in high volume, fast-paced retail environment
- Understanding of & ability to resolve crime
- Understanding of IKEA Operational policies & routines
