The Role
Director of Human Resources will lead and oversee the HR department. This key role will be responsible for ensuring effective talent sourcing, training, compensation & benefits, and organizational development to align with corporate objectives and drive the growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Define and align the corporate HR strategy with business objectives.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans for Senior HR Managers.
- Review and consolidate HR budget, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Develop the operating framework, policies, and standards for the HR function.
- Guide performance measurement and ensure the achievement of organizational targets.
- Execute directives from the CEO.
Tactical:
- Drive organization development and effectiveness standards to support business needs.
- Ensure the availability of appropriate training programs to enhance employee skills.
- Support manpower planning and organizational structuring, using trends and best practices.
- Develop a competitive employer brand to attract top talent in the drilling market.
- Build a robust performance management system to motivate and retain key performers.
- Promote Saudization programs to attract, develop, and retain local talent.
- Foster the Best Employer through strong performance and learning cultures.
Operational:
- Oversee recruitment activities to meet staffing needs based on approved plans.
- Ensure the performance appraisal cycle is executed seamlessly and impartially.
- Manage training and development programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Oversee compensation and reward programs to align with company reward philosophy.
- Ensure competency frameworks are implemented and periodically assessed.
People Management:
- Define goals and KPIs for team members, ensuring alignment with the performance review process.
- Lead manpower planning within the HR department in line with operational needs.
- Maintain high levels of employee engagement and development.
- Provide guidance and coaching to ensure the effective performance of the team.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, practices, and systems.
Product / Process Improvement:
- Evaluate HR processes within the department and implement improvements for greater efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (Postgraduate degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 7-8 years in a managerial role. Proven track record in designing and implementing organizational-level people initiatives.
