Responsibilities
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems for new and existing data centers.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure HVAC systems meet operational and energy efficiency standards.
- Oversee the configuration of cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, etc.) to ensure data center temperature and humidity control.
- Ensure continuous operation and reliability of HVAC systems by implementing preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Oversee and maintain the performance of data center cooling systems, including air conditioning units, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring maximum system availability.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc./B.Tech.) in a mechanical discipline.
- 10+ years post-graduation work experience inclusive of time spent working in data centers.
- Familiarity with liquid cooling technologies is preferred.
- Expertise in cooling systems (e.g., chillers, air handlers, CRAC/CRAH units). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies and metrics (PUE, WUE).
- Leadership and ability to mentor and lead a team in HVAC engineering best practices
