HVAC Technician

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in hotels

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the effective and efficient maintenance of HVAC staff within the shift operation of the facilities management

• Accountabilities

Conform to all general and specific technical safety requirements at all times to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work to include:

l. Manual Handling and Lifting

• Construct complex technical reports, spreadsheets and presentations using MS Office (Word / Excel / Power point)

Raise & complete PMS fault report sheets, daily, weekly and monthly utilization reports and CMMS work orders

• Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action

Complete requests in timely, accurate, efficient and knowledgeable manner

• Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 16 KGs without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.

• Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Carry out all technical and safety instructions to conform to the facilitys policy and procedures

• Acts a role model for all supervisors, technicians tradesman and helpers and leads the team by example with consistent attention to detail and quality by demonstrating a get it right first time every time attitude to the job

Oversee and manage contractor works, enabling compliance to internal and external safety and quality standards.

• Technically supervise and lead a team of general mechanical / HVAC tradesmen and helpers to ensure correct and safe completion of task within the designated area

Ensure the health, safety and welfare of self and others at work

• Education/ Qualification

3 years Diploma Holder or 2 years Industrial Training Certification (ITI)Diploma of Mechanical Engineering / ITI in relevant sections of Mechanical Engineering

• IOSH working safely certificate or equivalent

Knowledge in the use & interpretation of Local and International facility management standards and regulations (CIBSE)

• Good knowledge of BMS

Valid UAE driving license is desirable

• Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in AC / HVAC technician role

• Hospitality Must for a minimal tenure of 3 years in more than 3-star rated hotel

Knowledge in the use and interpretation of local and international air conditioning and refrigeration regulations and standards

• Ability to adopt a logical methodical approach to troubleshooting and fault finding in HVAC systems

Can read interpret and describe the functionality of HVAC system drawings (circuit and wiring diagrams / schematic and layout drawings)
