Job Purpose
IT Planning and Projects is to manage, develop, implement, and update IT strategies, plans, and governance models to align IT systems, applications, infrastructure, and operations to IMIs business objectives. He/she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of any project in the IT function, which includes managing a team of employees to ensure projects are completed on time and within their specified budgets.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and refine the IMIs IT strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Work closely with department heads to allocate IT resources effectively based on project priorities and organizational needs and optimize resource utilization to enhance overall IT efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to manage the IT budget.
- Monitor and control IT expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT projects and initiatives.
- Establish and enforce IT governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- liaises with various IT sections and develops plans, schedules, budgets, and resources for IT programs and projects. He assigns IT projects to the concerned IT teams, tracks project progress and reports to management. He also schedules and participates in IT project status review meetings and monitors action items.
- Administers the bid process, develops the bid slate, coordinates all preliminary phases of contract procurement, and prepares contract drafts.
- Attends job explanation or negotiation meetings, as directed, for different types of contracts. Understand the procurement options available and ensure conformance with industry practices, established laws, Contracting Manual, and other IMI policies and procedures.
- Participates in cross-functional review of contracts with the proponent, Finance, and Law for different procurement situations.
- Monitors and controls IT contracts status for milestone schedules, deliverables, payments, and reports to management. Participates with a team that counsels contractors for performance issues.
- Liaises with the PSCM team for IT purchase requirements and coordinates with proponents for technical acceptance of bids.

- Monitors the status of purchase requisitions, deliverables, payments, and reports to management.
- Maintains records of IT Department KPIs and measurements and reports to management.
- Monitors and prepares all IT-required reports and statements (periodic or ad-hoc) related to IT planning and project management.

- Conducting risk assessments for projects.
- Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress.
- Follow all relevant functional processes, guidelines, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in preparing timely and accurate reports and functional deliverables to meet functional requirements and achieve the desired efficiency and performance excellence.
- Support in managing the development, implementation, and updating of the IT strategy, plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet IMIs strategic objectives while aligning with industry best practices.
- Support in managing the development, implementation, and updating of the IT governance model, policies, and procedures and oversee its enforcement across the IT function.
- Support in managing, developing, implementing, and monitoring business continuity plans to ensure proper prevention and recovery from potential IT threats.
- Support in managing, developing, implementing, and monitoring IT change management plans and activities to ensure IMIs resilience to environmental and business changes.
- Develop the methodology of IT project management.
- Continuously monitor compliance with IT procedures and controls.
- Manage IT vendors & contracts.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure the proper status of all IT vendor's accounts and balances.
- Plan, track, and coordinate with the relevant IT teams to ensure the hardware requirements, including warranty and maintenance, are met.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Project Management, or equivalent.
- Professional Qualifications
Technical certifications in the field of IT Planning and Project Management, e.g., PMP, COBIT, CISA, PMO.
Minimum Of 9-15 Years Of Relevant Experience.
Thoroughly proficient in both verbal and written English.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Familiar with frameworks and standards associated with IT like ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ITIL, etc.
- Familiar with IT budget preparation, tracking, and adjustment cycles.
- Familiar with IT services planning preparation, tracking, and adjustment cycles.
- Knowledge and working experience of Project Management Office PMO.
- Working experience of IT related financials and personnel.
- Working experience of managing and interacting with IT vendors.
- Familiar with IT assets cycles and IT stores management.
- Ability to swiftly resolve production issues.
- Leadership and management skills for handling various situations
- Team working, and ability to work under pressure.
- High level of integrity and ethical behavior.
