Job Purpose
Develop and implement business applications, systems, and procedures within recognized fields of Information Technology (IT) endeavours as detailed.
Key Accountabilities
- Enhance or develop and maintain and support computer software and hardware; test and evaluate Information Technology (IT) systems; develop and mentor IT Support engineer; manage & assist in managing Information Technology (IT) projects.
- Install, customize, and troubleshoot open computer operating systems software, hardware, and Database Management.
- Install and support software required to maintain business functions, such as applications servers, database servers and file servers.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Department and Corporate KPI requirements associated with IT Network and Infrastructure availability and performance.
- Develop monitoring scripts to maintain good health of hardware and operating system.
- Install, troubleshoot, and support networking software to support corporate business functions globally, such as Wide Area Networks (WAN's) and Local Area Networks (LAN's).
- Review and analyse user request for computer and communication systems and recommend solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements, when supporting customers
- Develop and mentor the Computer & Communication Operations team members.
- Manage & assist in managing Information Technology (IT) projects.
- Performs System audits, assessments, and reports to management with findings and undertake measures to ensure conformance.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor degree of Science (BS) OR Computer Science, Management Information Technology (MIS), Engineering, Physical Sciences.
- Professional Qualifications
IT Industry Accredited and related certificate e.g., MCITP, ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, VCAP, DB Admin.
At least 9-15 years of relevant experience.
Thoroughly proficient in both verbal and written English.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Proficient with Administration of IT systems, Hardware, OS, Databases, LAN, WAN, Applications used within IMI
- Proficient in maintaining precise control over Configuration Items, including hardware devices, applications, documentation, telecom services, data center facilities to deliver IT services.
- Familiar with frameworks and standards associated with IT like ISO 20000, ISO 27001, NIST etc.
