Supervisor, Maintenance Services
- The position holder is responsible to lead the performance, maintenance, day to day activities of all shipyards marine assets and related machinery/equipment, in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner, within the asset management plans, to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.
- Carry out fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs to (not limited to) all types of shipyard marine assets in a safe, timely and professional manner and to restore assets back to operational condition. This and any necessary measures are to be completed at the minimum possible time to eliminate downtime and production losses.
- Provide cost-effective techniques and solutions to attain desired equipment reliability and availability.
- Ability to study, interpret and analyze engineering manuals, drawings and reports and derive solutions.
- Understand and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System.
- Closely apply and follow-up IFS (ERP system) to manage notifications, work orders preparation and closing, parts ordering, ensure history recording and work orders closure after work completion with updated reports and related attachments.
- Develops and implements standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity.
- Supervises and lead maintenance teams to perform marine asset management activities (installations, maintenance, disposition, surveys of marine assets and related equipment and systems) safely and environmentally friendly with zero tolerance in the assigned areas/zones of work.
- Ensure that maintenance contractors and 3rd Party services are utilized timely, efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with company procedures.
- Inspect and test completed works to ensure safe operation of the assets/equipment before handover.
- Lead critical activities such as installations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, transition/handing over, mothballing, reposition of shipyard marine assets. responsible for safe work practices and making decisions based on knowledge and experience.
- Communicate with other maintenance supervisors and zone superintendents about status-quo of equipment and opportunity for improvements.
- Identify spares requirements and monitor their utilization.
- Shall be a part of project team to lead critical activities like installations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, transition/hand overing, mothballing and repositioning of shipyard assets.
- Work within 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) mindset and methodology.
- Control and endorse work permits for the asset maintenance work and ensure that safety and environment regulations are understood and followed by the asset management team and contractors.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer satisfaction.
- Provide inputs in development and reviewing of checklists, SOPs, maintenance procedures, TRA/JSAs.
- Follow up and execute FRACAS recommendations assigned to the assets.
- Coordinate with executive management, maintenance superintendents and involved staff about status-quo of equipment and propose solutions to opportunity for improvements.
- Promote a can-do team spirit creating a culture of high standards, work ethic and job satisfaction within the department and his team.
- Undertake continuous training and development.
- Train and share asset maintenance knowledge to co-workers and apprentices and enhance their skills (in achieving Saudi Vision 2030.
- Promote a sense of positive attitude, pride and work culture in driving teams to attain Asset Management objectives.
Education
- Technical diploma degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office suite.
- Sound knowledge in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of mechanical, hydraulic, instrumentation, control and electrical systems and equipment.
Experience
- At least 15 - 18 years of practical marine experience
