About the Position:
The In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) Analyst is responsible for analyzing data from the school's IVMS to drive improvements in operational efficiency, safety, and compliance within transportation and fleet management. This role provides actionable insights and trend analyses, focusing on vehicle and driver behavior data to support strategic transportation initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Generate and summarize weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on vehicle and driver performance metrics, including KPIs like safety incidents and fuel efficiency.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of IVMS data for incident documentation, corrective actions, and performance improvements.
- Monitor IVMS data for vehicle movements and driver behavior, focusing on safety standards and driving patterns.
- Identify trends to address safety and operational efficiency issues proactively.
- Convert data findings into actionable insights to enhance fleet management strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership to drive improvements in safety, cost-efficiency, and service reliability.
- Recommend policy or operational adjustments based on data trends and analyze data to improve Customer NPS scores.
- Track driver behavior to ensure compliance with safety protocols and generate alerts for potential issues.
- Collaborate with the safety team to investigate vehicle incidents and recommend corrective actions based on IVMS data.
- Ensure data integrity by coordinating with IT for timely updates and system improvements.
- Conduct regular audits of IVMS devices and liaise with providers to resolve technical issues.
- Develop training materials for drivers and staff to enhance compliance with safety standards.
- Support teams in interpreting IVMS data for operational improvements and provide feedback on driving performance.
- Encourage driver engagement with IVMS tools to promote safety and efficiency initiatives.
Expected Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Transportation Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience and Skills Set:
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, fleet management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data analysis software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Knowledge of fleet management practices and safety standards.
- Experience working with large datasets and providing strategic recommendations.
- Familiarity with transportation management software (TMS) or fleet tracking systems.
