About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments, implementing best practices, and developing comprehensive security policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Security Assessments: Conduct thorough security audits of existing systems and infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation measures.
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Best Practices Implementation: Implement industry-standard security best practices across the organization, including access controls, encryption, and incident response.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation on security procedures, policies, and standards to facilitate understanding and compliance.
- System Security: Assess the security posture of specific systems, such as AWS, SAP, and Google Workspace, and recommend appropriate security measures.
- Employee Onboarding/Offboarding: Develop and implement secure onboarding and offboarding processes to protect sensitive company data.
- Incident Response: Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to minimize impact and prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience in information security, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise applications (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
