The Information Technology Manager will be responsible for Terminal Infrastructure, network, communications systems and applications management. This position will require to perform function, technical and subject matter expert to manage the port operation, enterprise applications including TOS, Microsoft, Indoor and Outdoor Network & Communication technologies. This role also includes project management, stakeholder management including internal and external (port authorities & Govt, security assessment and IT governance, audit and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Align with Organizational goals and execute corporate technology strategy.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of digital projects & explore innovations opportunities and process automations.
- Manage IT landscape including port infrastructure, business applications, communications systems, and in-door & out- door networks
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
- Manage budgets, cost benefit analysis of new projects, contracts & vendor management.
- Corporate governance, information security assessments and risk management
- Manage and Maintain Terminal WIFI Equipment's, RDT equipment in operational condition.
- Manage and maintain the IT assets inventory
- Perform the periodic maintenance of terminal equipment such as terminal WIFI, CCTV, RDT.
- Ensure IT security systems are maintained at acceptable levels.
- Lead IT service operations, ensuring KPI compliance and safeguarding computer files.
- Maintain data processing systems and perform risk assessments, supporting remediation.
- Fulfil service level agreements related to availability, performance, capacity, and security.
- Ensure efficient completion of software, hardware, and network installations, upgrades, and changes.
- Advise IT management on data access, security violations, data leakages, and programming changes.
- Manage documentation of IT systems, Policies, emergency response measures and test results.
- Act as the Situation Manager for unplanned events affecting the computing/network environment.
- Oversee disaster recovery plans and backup solutions, ensuring they do not compromise security.
- Administer the GSCCO website.
Educational Background
Diploma/Degree + Industrial Experience.
Technical Qualification / Certification
- Experience in port IT industry and management of Port infrastructure, TOS and Operational systems
- Strong skills in project management, change management & stakeholder management Preferred to be PMP and ITIL certifications
- Budgeting & Planning
- Technical expertise in Cloud technologies, Oracle DB, CISCO switches, HP servers, Storage, Data centre management, Linux, Microsoft 365, IP telephony Altai network
- Experience with building disaster recovery system and business continuity planning
- Excellent leadership and vendor management skills.
