The Job:
- Provide first line assistance to users experiencing system problems.
- Assist with IT tasks, resolving issues immediately when possible, or logging and escalating them to the MHI help desk as necessary.
- Set up new user accounts, profiles, and handle with password issues.
- Ensure the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and network servers.
- Install and upgrade computer components, software, and Manage servers.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
- Contact with MHI IT helpdesk to resolve day to day issues.
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring timely resolution of problems with desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment to minimize disruptions.
- Communicate and collaborate with MHI IT teams across the globe for necessary IT solutions.
- Support and advise on downtime procedures and business continuity plans to
- ensure successful adoption in their local work area.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Upgrade hardware and software programs as needed.
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
- Participates in the documentation and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures consistent with MPW-EMEA & MHI Japan.
- Provide routine maintenance services such as network cable arrangements, replacements etc.,
- Conducts electrical safety checks on computers, servers and related auxiliary equipmentt
- Manage and program organization Electronic Private Branch Exchange (EPABX).
Selection Criteria:
Qualification/ Trainings: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent from a reputed University
Years of Experience: 1-3 years work experience in Tendering and /or IT/preferably in Manufacturing sector
Area of Expertise: IT security, Network and Server Management.
Skills Required: English communications, MS office, VM Ware, knowledge in ISO20001-1 and ISO 27001 Standard
