Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and efficient computing environment, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1Technical Support:
Provide first-line technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner. Assist ininstalling, configuring, and maintainingf hardware and software components.
2. Hardware and Software Management:
Perform hardware upgrades, repairs, and replacements as necessary.
Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper asset management.
3. Network Administration:
Assist in setting up and maintaining local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and implement solutions.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the security and integrity of network infrastructure.
4. Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
Conduct regular security audits and address vulnerabilities promptly.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
5. User Training:
Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related matters.
Create and update user documentation and guides.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with IT team members to address complex technical issues.
Communicate effectively with end-users, understanding and translating technical concepts into layman's terms.
Skills and Competencies
1. Technical Proficiency
Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common business applications.
2. Networking
Understanding of basic networking principles and protocols.
Experience with network troubleshooting and configuration.
3. Security
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Ability to implement and manage security measures.
4. Customer Service
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
5. Problem Solving
Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical issues.

Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are preferred.
Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
