JOB SUMMARY:
Analyze and maintain IT infrastructure/network and develop recommendations to IT Operation and Support assistant Manager for the optimization of their allocation. To set reliable and flexible network design to meet sectional roadmap and long-term business strategic goals. Act as the forward-looking person for BURUJ IT network.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development of the network through strategic partnership with BURUJ Departments, IT-Management and external partners in order to add value to the business and deliver the IT and business strategies.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Network providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment.
- Owning the relationships with the companies providers, and ensuring that all IT requirements are met.
- Contribute to the Infrastructure strategy as an integral part of the BURUJ IT Strategy, assuring alignment with the Strategic Result Areas.
- Maintain understanding of business IT strategies and technology architecture requirements.
- Proactively work with business and service providers to identify and resolve systemic process and/or service delivery issues
- Responsible for defining and maintaining the network.
- Participate on teams focusing on infrastructure improvement projects and transition activities.
- Act as Infrastructure for network and ensuring that BURUJ is ready for and make the most of network trends in its company strategy.
- Develop and communicate the network structural frameworks (hardware, software and other components) which meet the present and future requirements of BURUJ.
- Ensure that all new network services are delivered to the departments (at Head office and in Branches) with the right service levels.
- Establish and lead an effective operational team, integrating key infrastructure related contacts with appropriate supplier representatives, as appropriate
- Help implement continuous performance measurement within the network to identify, prioritize, initiate and manage services and initiatives.
- Plan and develop capacity planning roadmap for network.
- Manage the development of training material, developing the skills of end users in leveraging network capabilities.
- Determine network testing policy, and owns the supporting processes.
- Oversee and plan and recruit staffing need in accordance with HR guidelines in Network.
- Ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through the leadership of the Network function to maximize performance.
- Ensure services performance and availability in accordance to KPIs.
- Conduct quality audits in coordination with internal auditors and in addition to enforce the code of ethics.
- Prepares periodical reports (KPI and network reports) & submit them to IT Operation and Support assistant Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Computer Science / Information Systems or Engineering.
- 2 - 5 years experience in IT functions and system development preferably in an insurance company.
