Summary
ISG Little Learners provides educational day care for children, aged 6 weeks to 4 years old, of the staff working on campus.
Little Learners is seeking a dynamic Instructional Assistant who will work under the supervision of the Little Learners Head Teacher and will be a part of the Little Learners team in providing an enriching and caring environment in the Early Years Stage.
Position Duties
The Successful Candidate Will Be Expected To
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
- Follow policy and procedure, instruction or work on own initiative as necessary.
- Work with a key group of children under the supervision of the Little Learners Head Teacher to provide a stimulating and creative environment in which children feel confident and gain the necessary preschool skills and knowledge.
- Support children to acquire the personal skills for school readiness, including: eating (feeding oneself), dressing, and toilet training.
- Observe and respond appropriately to the range of individual needs, abilities, and concerns.
- Observe for and respond appropriately to any health-related concerns of the child.
- Support and assist in implementing a schedule of activities, including: lunch, snack, rest period, and all other duties required for the care of the children.
- Help to maintain overall safety and good hygiene of the students and classrooms.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Little Learners Head Teacher.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
- Work as part of a team and function effectively.
- Engage, establish, and maintain positive, loving and disciplined relationships with the children.
- Enjoy working in an Early Years environment.
- Be understanding, consistent and fair and show good judgment and discretion.
- Be calm, self-controlled, and able to work under pressure.
- Be able to deal with upset children calmly.
- Have a professional positive work ethic, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Teacher.
Qualifications And Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
- An understanding of children's development.

- Previous experience working with young children.
