Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Instructional Assistant who will primarily assist the classroom teacher with the implementation of the National Curriculum of England.
Position Duties
The Successful Candidate Will Be Expected To
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
- Assist the teacher in the delivery of lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum for students.
- Organise classrooms, work centres and activity areas.
- Maintain instructional supplies, materials and equipment.
- Demonstrate creativity.
- Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times.
- Supervise students during lunch and other break times.
- Respond appropriately to the range of individual students needs and abilities within the class.
- Be fluent in English, oral and written.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes with regards to distance learning if necessary.
- Assist with daily hygiene routines from time to time, when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal and/or Head of Department.
Qualifications And Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.

Experience
- Prior experience as an instructional assistant in a classroom.
- Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and colleagues.
- Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
