We are currently recruiting for a Instrument and Elect - Scada Engineer for our trusted client to be based out of their office in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi.
Job Description and Roles & Responsibilities:
- To complete all instrumental maintenance work pertaining to the Power station system, inclusive of:
- Switch Gears 11kV & Low Voltage (LV)
- Generators
- Control System
- SCADA
- Automation System
- Generator Protection Relays
- Generator Control System
- AMF
- Integrated Substation Monitoring System (ISMS)
- Any additional requirements by Unit Head.
- To attend to all breakdown and emergency works as and when required 24 hours 7 days a week.
- Supervises and guides the instrumental and control system team, pertaining work orders and any related issues.
- Adheres to the preventative maintenance schedule whilst also ensuring all corrective maintenance is completed as and when required.
- Creates work orders for corrective maintenance and raise Material and Purchase Requisitions to ensure the correct materials and equipment are available to complete the work order.
- Controls and monitors the inventory of the stock room, ensuring coherence with equipment and material with the electronic records.
- Ensures the electrical field of the power-station is consistently updated in regards to design, methods and new technologies.
- To complete the annual protection replay for the diesel generators.
- To attend all randomly check and evaluate the corrective and preventative maintenance conducted by all technical staff.
- Updates the supervisor as to the status of all work orders and any potential issues that have been encountered.
Requirements:
- Ready to relocate to Al Ain
- B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
- 6 years of direct experience working within an electricity distribution organization, especially Power-Stations, instrumental and control fields
- Good knowledge of Power Distribution system, testing and protection of equipment and safety regulations applicable for distribution system
- Thorough knowledge of the testing and protection of equipment
- Thorough knowledge of HSE, RSB and AADC policies, procedure and regulations
- PC literate, knowledge of MAXIMOS, GIS, and Microsoft packages is preferable
- Excellent Arabic and English both written and spoken
- UAE Driving license
