Position: Insurance Supervisor- Job Description: Clinica Sabah Specialty Hospital is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Insurance Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee the insurance department, ensuring efficient operations, accurate billing, and excellent customer service. The Insurance Supervisor will play a critical role in managing relationships with insurance companies and optimizing the reimbursement process.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the insurance department.- Ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims and follow up on pending claims.
Oversee the verification of patient insurance coverage and benefits.
- Manage and resolve insurance-related issues and discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.- Train and mentor insurance staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve patient experience.
- Monitor and analyze insurance reports and metrics, implementing improvements as needed.
Handle escalated patient inquiries and complaints related to insurance matters.- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding insurance billing and coding.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical insurance billing and supervision.
Strong knowledge of insurance policies, billing procedures, and coding standards.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Proficiency in healthcare billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is a plus.
