We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Manager to join a premier British-owned interior renovation company based in Dubai, UAE.
Location: Dubai
Salary: 25,000-30,000 AED/monthly
Requirements:
- Experience in interior design within the Dubai fit-out industry, with experience at a senior or managerial level. Ambitious designers ready to transition into management are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D S Max, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong capabilities in 3D visualization tools for creating high-quality renderings.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and expertly handle client-facing responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of material sourcing and finishes, including connections with reputable suppliers in the UAE and international.
- A natural leader with a collaborative mindset, capable of working seamlessly with site operations, procurement, and project management teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Design Management
- Oversee the entire design process, from concept development to completion, ensuring efficient project timelines, adherence to budget, and exceptional quality.
- Develop and review design plans, technical drawings, and 3D renderings to support client presentations and project milestones.
- Work in close partnership with architects, engineers, and contractors to align design elements with practical construction and installation methods.
Client Interaction & Relationship Management
- Lead face-to-face meetings with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and preferences.
- Present and refine material selections, layouts, and design concepts to ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Manage regular communication with clients throughout each project phase, fostering positive relationships and addressing any queries or adjustments.
Material & Finish Selection
- Curate and propose customized material options, finishes, and furnishings tailored to each client's style and project scope.
- Source high-quality materials, coordinating with both local and international suppliers to meet design and budgetary requirements.
- Stay informed on the latest trends, sustainable options, and innovative materials to present fresh, up-to-date selections to clients.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the design team, providing guidance on best practices and design techniques.
- Manage team performance, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and to the highest standard.
- For less experienced candidates, this role will offer the opportunity to step into leadership responsibilities, supported by mentorship from the owner and cross-departmental collaboration.
Budget & Cost Management
- Collaborate with project management and procurement to oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Manage all aspects of budget documentation, providing transparency to clients and the team for efficient project tracking.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Conduct site visits to ensure the quality and accuracy of design implementation.
- Verify that all designs meet local building codes and regulatory standards, maintaining compliance throughout the project.
About the Role:
The Interior Design Manager will be responsible for leading the design process, managing client interactions, and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards. Reporting directly to the owner, this role will require close collaboration across all departments, including site operations, procurement, and project management.
