Job Description

Role Purpose

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming spaces and enhancing the functionality and aesthetic appeal of interior environments. The Interior Designer will work closely with clients, architects, and other professionals to create innovative and visually pleasing designs.
  • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Client Consultation: - Conduct meetings with clients to understand their design preferences, needs, and budget. - Present design concepts and gather feedback for revisions.

  • Space Planning: - Develop space plans that optimize the use of available space and meet the client's requirements. - Create layout drawings, furniture arrangements, and color schemes.

  • Concept Development: - Generate creative design concepts that align with the client's vision and project goals. - Research and incorporate current design trends and industry best practices.

  • Material and Finish Selection: - Select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories to enhance the overall design. - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source and procure materials.

  • Budget Management: - Create and manage project budgets, ensuring that design elements align with financial constraints. - Provide cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project-related expenses.

  • Project Coordination: - Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the seamless execution of design plans. - Oversee the installation and implementation of design elements.

  • Client Presentations: - Prepare and deliver presentations showcasing design concepts, including 3D renderings and mood boards.

  • Code Compliance: - Ensure that designs comply with building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Skills:
  • Certification from a recognized interior design association (e.g., NCIDQ).
Familiarity with sustainable design practices.
  • Knowledge of building construction and MEP systems.
Bachelors degree in interior design or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Interior Designer, with a portfolio showcasing past projects.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong knowledge of spatial arrangements, color schemes, and materials.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Education: - Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
