Role Summary
The Internal Auditor is responsible for supporting the team in executing internal audit assignments. This responsibility includes supporting in developing internal audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, and supporting in drafting findings reflecting the results of the work performed. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units, focusing on financial, operational, and compliance processes. Additionally, the Internal Auditor performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues. Also is expected to maintain all the Company's professional ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Contribute in identifying and evaluating the Company's risk areas and provide key input to the development of the annual audit plan.
- Support in performing internal audit activities including planning, field work, reporting and wrap up.
- Support in maintaining the audit file by gathering and organizing supporting evidence. Also Conduct interviews and prepare working papers.
- Ensure completion of assignments/tasks provided as per timeline.
- Considerable skill in verbal and written communications (English or Arabic) including active listening skills and skill in drafting and presenting findings and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain productive auditee and staff relationships
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
- Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
- Skill in negotiating issues and resolving problems.
- Considerable skill in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (in accounting, or in a related field in business administration or industrial engineering ) from an accredited college or university.
- Associate member of the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants
- A CIA or other equivalent qualification would be preferable.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of full-time experience in auditing or related field.
- Previous experience with FMCG or Pharmaceuticals industry or big-4.
- Fluency in Arabic & English languages.
