Role:
This role will be responsible for conducting independent and objective assessments of Kleindienst Group's internal controls.
You will analyze financial and operational processes, identify risks, and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and best practices. This is a crucial position that contributes significantly to the overall success and financial well-being of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit plan aligned with company objectives and risk assessments.
- Conduct internal audits across various departments, including finance, accounting, property management, leasing, and construction (if applicable).
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify potential risks and control weaknesses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare well-documented audit reports with clear and concise findings and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with management at all levels to discuss audit findings and implement agreed-upon improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and relevant regulations in real estate and internal auditing.
- Assist with special investigations as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CIA certification a plus).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the real estate industry.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing audit programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software (a plus).
