Job Overview:
A company are seeking an experienced and dynamic
International Trade and Engineering Business Specialist to develop and drive forward the engineering business operations. This role involves guiding the division towards the agreed objectives in the business plan, generating new business, and maintaining high standards of supply and service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate business in technical products with customers in Africa and Asia through third-party trade.
- Identify and analyze potential suppliers and customers to establish sustained commitments.
- Leverage existing supplier base to seek out new business opportunities.
- Visit and build relationships with suppliers and customers to enhance market reputation and service standards.
- Utilize regional office networks in Turkey, Kenya, India, China, and Egypt to build supplier bases or potential customers.
- Collaborate closely with logistics, accounts, and documentation teams to ensure cohesive operations and achievement of company objectives.
- Manage risks effectively and adhere to the company's anti-bribery policy.
Experience and Requirements:
- 10 years in a similar trading role
- Vast network of Clients & Suppliers in Africa & Asia
- Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write reports and deliver presentations.
- Technologically adept with good computer skills.
- Qualified to a degree level in Technology, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Relevant certification (e.g., Business Administration / Sales & Marketing) is preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to travel regularly
