Job Summary:
The Inventory and Replenishment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory levels, ensuring the accurate and timely replenishment of stock, and managing the day-to-day operations related to inventory control. This role requires close coordination with purchasing, warehouse, and requester departments to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet business demands.
Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
2. Replenishment:
Develop and execute replenishment strategies to ensure timely restocking of products.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inventory.
Analyze sales trends and forecasts to anticipate inventory needs and prevent stockouts.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels and movements.
Generate and analyze reports on inventory performance, turnover rates, and stock levels.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize inventory management.
4. Team Supervision:
Supervise and mentor inventory control staff, providing training and development opportunities.
Coordinate and oversee the work of the inventory team to ensure efficient and accurate inventory processes.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
5. Process Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in inventory and replenishment processes.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in inventory management.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure alignment on inventory needs and priorities.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding inventory status and issues.
Address and resolve any inventory-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience as an inventory supervisor, replenishment supervisor, or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
