The candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth investment research, analyzing market trends, and providing valuable insights to assist in the development and management of investment strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with the investment team to identify investment opportunities, evaluate risk and return factors, and generate research reports to guide decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental and quantitative analysis on various investment opportunities, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
- Utilize a wide range of data sources, financial models, and research tools to develop investment theses and recommendations.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities that may impact investment performance.
- Prepare and present detailed research reports to the investment team, including analysis of financial statements, valuation models, and investment risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date investment databases, including company profiles, financial data, and market statistics.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to provide support in investment decision-making processes, portfolio construction, and asset allocation strategies.
- Develop strong relationships with external research providers, brokerages, and industry experts to enhance research capabilities and stay updated on market developments. Communicate with brokers, counterparties and other agencies who can provide useful financial, market, economical, industry trends and other data. Maintain a database of these data.
- Use original research or collating external summaries to produce research contents for Wealth Management investment funds platform.
- Actively monitor the ongoing performance of the funds on WM platform.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance with DFSA investment guidelines and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Continuously evaluate and improve research methodologies, investment processes, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate the preparation/update of house view, e.g., interest rates views etc.
- Ad-hoc analysis of new products/investment types.
- Ensure relevant risk control measures are in place including meeting the requirements on internal standard, compliance, policies & DFSA regulations.
- Support Investment Director and Senior Relationship Managers on ongoing basis.

Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices within the DIFC regulations.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Bloomberg or similar financial research platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex research findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Knowledge & understanding of DFSA regulatory.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certification (CFA, CAIA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Research Analyst in an investment advisory firm, asset management firm, or comparable financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment theories, and portfolio management concepts.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
