Analysing pitch decks and strategic information to evaluate potential investments
Preparing investment memorandums and participating in due diligence activities for potential investments (ie. market sizing, traction and performance analysis, technology assessment, understanding business model and product/service, competitive positioning, regulatory and execution risks, and reviews of founding teams)
Interviewing with industry experts or relevant stakeholders for assessing a business model
Monitoring the performance of portfolio companies and helping them solve problems
Sourcing investment opportunities through different channels
Helping develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the tech ecosystem
Conducting market research and writing reports to understand global and regional business models and trends
Requirements
A bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science, or a combination of these fields.
Passionate about the entrepreneurship/startup, VC ecosystem and technology trends
Exposure to the VC ecosystem (through internship experience/start-up work/network/programs/etc.) is a plus.
Strong skills in interpreting and synthesizing data from various sources, including Pitchbook, market reports, and industry publications.
Ability to navigate and understand financial models, incl. valuation techniques
Ability to work independently and be comfortable with uncertainty
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and structure multiple research projects, while meeting internal deadlines.
