Job Description
The Role
We have an excellent understanding of the business and legal environment in Saudi Arabia and offer applied expertise based on our involvement in headline transactions. The IT Assistant will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end-users, and assisting with network administration. This role involves working closely with the IT Manager and other team members to nsure the seamless operation of IT services across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
Support the IT Manager in network administration tasks, such as monitoring network performance and managing user accounts.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure all equipment is properly documented and tracked.
Assist in the implementation of new technologies and systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Conduct regular system updates and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and best practices.
Regular Duties of an Enterprise Basic IT Support Personnel - Not Core Technical:
Assisting with the setup and configuration of computer systems.
Providing basic troubleshooting for hardware, Printers, IP Telephones, Wi-Fi, Access Points, Security Access System, Multi-functional printers/copiers, Meeting Room Communication system and software issues.
Supporting users with password resets and account unlocks.
Installing and updating software applications.
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems, Wi-Fi, IP Telephone, CC TV, and networks.
Logging IT Tickets and tracking support requests.
Assisting with the maintenance of IT documentation.
Performing routine system checks and updates.
Helping with the setup of new user accounts and profiles.
Providing basic training to users on IT systems and software.
Assisting in the preparation of IT reports.
Supporting the Senior IT Staff in various projects and tasks.
Assisting with the implementation of security measures.
Responding to user inquiries and providing technical assistance.
Documenting issues and solutions in a ticketing system, updating the tickets regularly.
Providing IT training and support to end-users.
Assisting with the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
Conducting routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment's.
Collaborating with other IT team members.
Managing inventory of IT assets and supplies.
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Maintaining the supplies for IT consumables and keeping the record up to date
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or through remote desktop or over the phone)
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary or as instructed by senior IT
Testing new technology in leisure time
Possibly training more junior staff members when demand
Problem-solving skills
An ability to stick to strict deadlines
An ability to priorities the tasks according to the criticality
Flexibility for working on weekends or out of office hours when work demands
A keen eye for detail when demanded
Also worth noting is the occasionally physical nature of the role as they may have to lift and carry heavy equipment.
Implement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance issues
Contacting vendors for seeking external support
Contact service provider, Telecom provider, software vendors to raise if any issue unresolved within firm to seek help from vendor
Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
Managing the IT tickets system, reassigning the tickets and resolving them
Updating employees on the status of their service requests
Setting up laptops, docking station, monitors, printers, IP Telephones, mobile phones, network cable testing, keyboard/mouse,
Knowledge of switches, firewalls, cables, and network equipment's.
Asking questions to get a better idea of what might be wrong
Diagnosing and providing clear advice on what the user can do to solve their problem
Maintaining composure and a positive attitude during difficult situations
Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, browsers.
Gaining knowledge and ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures.
Maintaining proper and up to date records and assigning self-training courses
Managing security access system, preparing access cards, and managing CCTV.
Visiting to market to procure IT items and mobile technology devices.
Preferably the IT support personnel should be enthusiast of IT technology and passionate about his profession
Qualifications
Your Experience
We are currently seeking an outstanding IT Assistant with a minimum of 3 years experience and international exposure from a similarly high-profile IT environment.
Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A bachelor's degree or Computer Science Graduate
Computer Science and Information Technology CSIT
Good English speaking and understanding
Deep knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
