Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Director to oversee our software development and solution delivery operations, ensuring optimal integration and efficient management across multiple teams including software development, mobile development, DevOps, DevSecOps, Data Warehousing, integrations, and custom app development. The IT Director will be essential in crafting our technology strategy and infrastructure, aligning software development operations with business objectives, and spearheading innovation in technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee development operations and the integration of different software solutions across various departments including software development, DevOps, , mobile development, system integrations and data warehousing.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies that meet organizational needs, aiming for technological excellence and innovation in software solutions.
- Lead and nurture multiple teams of IT professionals in a collaborative environment to promote growth and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and enhance the efficiency of software operations, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with other department heads to assess and address their needs and challenges.
- Ensure all projects are delivered within the constraints of budgets and timelines, achieving high performance and quality standards.
- Stay informed about technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
- Establish policies and practices that support strategic directions and ensure robust software solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external advisors, vendors, and technology partners.
- Develop and maintain technical performance reports to monitor and optimize efficiency and operations.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Maintain the usability and customer-centric design of products to enhance user experience.
- Ensure and maintain consistent software usability, user-friendliness, and user experience across all products to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Actively participate in developing architectural solutions and designs, including UML, workflow diagrams, and system integrations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Google Cloud offerings and leverage insights from AI and ML trends to guide strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of proven experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects.
- Deep understanding of software development processes and best practices.
- Strong background in overseeing product design and user experience to ensure high-quality UI/UX standards.
- Solid grasp of solution architecture and software high-level diagramming.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.
- Proficient in project management, strategic planning, and business development.
- Solid understanding of data analysis, business operations, and strategic planning.
- Solid knowledge of database systems and development frameworks, ensuring robust technical oversight in data-centric projects.
- Professional IT certification (such as PMP) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform Services, AI, and machine learning trends is highly beneficial.
