Essential Functions :
- Analyze network operations and architecture to prepare network design changes, equipment needs, and budgetary requirements.
- Maintains in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends, and best practices, for the networking discipline, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center networking, and interconnection.
- Helps develop long-term infrastructure plans and facilitates major network projects to support capacity growth, upgrades new products/features, and integration.
- Performs planning, engineering, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems of moderate complexity.
- Performs scopes of work as detailed in implementation plans assigned (system builds, test plans, documentation, training)
- Contributes to the development and analyses of network designs and protocols including prototyping and assessment.
- Responsible for, under general supervision, the planning and design of enterprise IP LAN/WAN network infrastructure and evaluation of current network systems. Comprehensive experience troubleshooting and implementing enterprise routing (BGP/OSPF) and data center switching concepts and technologies.
- Experience supporting and implementing Data Center SDN solutions including VMware NSX.
- Experience with networking components of Cisco UCS, VMware Compute, Palo Alto, and hyper-converged platforms from Dell (Vxrail).
- Network/Voice hardware implementation, planning, and execution.
- Ensures compliance with change control processes and adherence to standards.
- Participates in the diagnosis, isolation, and resolution of network problems. Identifies and documents the root cause identifies potential issues in the production environment and recommends potential solutions.
- Oversees and evaluates current network and security systems; recommends changes in maintenance and network standards; and trains support personnel on the conversion and implementation of new systems.
- Participate with the IT Management Team to develop long-term strategic plans for the company's IT infrastructure.
- Develop and continuously improve an information security program designed to protect information and systems from potential internal or external threats.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external system providers and consultants to ensure maximum value, response time, availability, and support for systems.
- Manage maintenance and upgrade schedules to ensure network availability required to support internal users.
- Lead network operations staff in troubleshooting and the timely resolution of problems with the Company's infrastructure and systems.
- Develop, test, and maintain the Company's IT disaster recovery plan.
- Lead the Network Operations and Helpdesk teams according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company and department objectives. Manage and develop staff by communicating job expectations, monitoring and appraising job performance, and providing coaching and training opportunities.
- Candidate must have the ability to gather/document requirements and identify/recommend appropriate solutions.

, VMware NSX (Distributed Firewall, Gateway Firewall, IPS). , Monitoring tools such as (ManageEngine, PRTG ...etc.), Juniper products such as (Ex4600, Ex2300, SRX, and Access points)
, Cisco switches (2960 series, 9200etc.) , designing and implementing connectivity over MPLS.
, EDR preferred (sentinel one EDR) , NAC preferred solution (Fore scout). , WLC preferred (Aruba).
- Very good experience in Security Incident Monitoring and Response.
- Good Experience in installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network security solutions and related monitoring tools including L2/L3 network devices, Network Admission Control (NAC), 802.1x, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN Solutions, Web Application Firewalls, Content Filtering, NetFlow Analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field with A minimum of experience 5 years of related work.
- Advanced technical knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations, firewalls, storage, computing, virtualization, and security.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to communicate with employees and vendors.
- Expert knowledge of data center networking concepts (routing, switching, etc.).
- One of the following certifications is Preferred (NSE7 , PCNSE , CCIE , JNCIE -ENT ).
