Purpose of Job
Jobholders at this level are experienced professionals capable of conducting work with general directions. They are primarily concerned with developing solutions to challenges which require some analysis to understand and resolve, and addressing issues escalated from junior levels.
They undertake complex operational activities including supporting in the research on IT quality management and documentation frameworks, best practices and new trends. They draft ZATCA IT QA policies, procedures, plans and documentation guidelines to ensure standardization and consistency. They develop and perform test cases, scripts and scenarios. They report IT QA and testing performance metrics against a set of KPIs and highlight gaps and needed corrective actions to all stakeholders for improvement.
Job Resposiblites
- Conduct the research on top IT quality management frameworks and best practices, assess the current ZATCA quality management model, identify gaps and challenges, and select a new model that aligns with ZATCA and IT strategies
- Understand ZATCA IT QA policies and procedures, identify areas for improvement, and establish and enforce IT QA policies and procedures, quality plans, etc. to ensure consistency and alignment with standards and IT strategy
- Conduct research on new trends of documentation framework, assess current ZATCA documentation framework and guidelines, and accordingly establish and control documentation framework and guidelines to ensure comprehensive and consistent IT documentation
- Capture and store IT expertise and technology resources, establish a system and process to control the capturing and storing process, conduct regular awareness sessions to IT employees and promote the culture of IT knowledge sharing within the division
- Conduct research and benchmark on new IT quality control and testing trends, review ZATCA current IT quality control and testing status, and develop IT quality control and testing strategy in order to define methods, objectives, resources and time scale needed for the testing environment
- Understand the detailed business requirements, review and validate test cases, scripts and scenarios, and ensure alignment with testing strategy & specifications
- Work with IT teams and vendors to define clear testing scopes/ activities, and set proper accountability and responsibility matrix, and revise and finalize end-to-end testing plans based on project timeline
- Follow-up testing activities (performance, regression, integration, systems, security, user acceptance, etc.), ensure proper alignment with plan and test cases, and ensure all testing defects are assigned, worked and resolved according to the release schedule
- Collect all emerging testing issues, review and assess them to ensure proper handling or escalation to the appropriate stakeholder, and accordingly review and verify testing results and related corrective actions to provide clearance for rollout
- Define testing metrics, implement the agreed metrics, measure the actual testing performance, and review all test metrics and performance reports in order to detect and tackle issues, and identify improvement opportunities
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
