• Job Description:

As an IT Security Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of cybersecurity. This internship will provide you with exposure to various aspects of IT security, including risk assessment, incident response, compliance, and security tool management. You will work closely with our IT security professionals and have the chance to learn from seasoned experts in the field.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Security Audits: Support the IT security team in conducting security audits and assessments of our IT infrastructure, applications, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.

• Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, helping to analyze and respond to security incidents and breaches as they occur.

• Security Awareness: Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity.

• Policy and Compliance: Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of IT security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

• Security Tool Management: Gain hands-on experience with security tools and technologies used for monitoring and safeguarding our IT environment.

• Vulnerability Management: Help identify and assess vulnerabilities in our systems and assist in the remediation process.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation related to security policies, procedures, incidents, and best practices.

• Security Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies through research and self-study.

• Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.

Strong interest in IT security and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Eagerness to take on new challenges and a proactive attitude.

• Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) is a plus.

Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)) would be a bonus but are not required.
