Job Brief:
Responsible for operating, maintaining, supporting Umniah servers and delivering all services and projects in area of responsibility that is driven by business needs and adherence to business policies and procedures to comply with the agreed SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, support, and maintain Linux installed systems
- Install, upgrade, and maintain Linux based systems
- Troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat, CentOS and Ubuntu
- Ensure security of Linux based systems and data
- Manage Linux based system backups, restore, and recovery
- Manage user accounts, groups, and services, Manage, and maintain storage, provide support on all Linux applications and UNIX based applications
- Manage, support, and maintain SAN storage, Provide storage provisioning for SAN system including zooning
- Apply capacity planning; planning for and responding to business changes and needs
- Install and maintain servers, maintain server security, periodic Hardware & Software Inventory

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related field.
Level of Experience:
Advanced Experience in a related field.

- RHCSA
- RHCE
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers
- Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator
- Cloud Technology Certification
Desirable:
- CISCO CCNA Certification
- CISSP Certification
- PMP Certification
- ITIL Foundation Certification
Tools & Systems:
Essential:
- Redhat Management tools
- Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- OS Clustering & High Availability tools

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
- 6+ years of Linux System Administration experience.
- Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems, including CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat
- Experience with Linux system architecture
- Experience with Linux-based VPN clients, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, filesystems, and authentication
- Experience with SAN Storage
- Good knowledge of deployment/system implementation, operations environment maintenance, disaster recovery
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Good knowledge of high availability and service failure resiliency
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of database technologies
- Good knowledge of IT strategy and planning, business continuity and contingency planning, security policies and procedures, new technologies assessment
