Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
ITS Operation Center Lead to join our team, who will provide strategic leadership, integrate advanced ITS technologies, engage with stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee quality control processes for high-impact transportation safety projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Center Operations Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) center, overseeing traffic flow, incident detection, and emergency response.
- Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of ITS operators, ensuring staff are trained, supported, and performing to high standards.
- Operational Protocols Development: Establish, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident detection, response coordination, and traffic monitoring.
- Traffic Management Coordination: Oversee the use of ITS technologies like CCTV, dynamic message signs (DMS), and traffic detectors to actively monitor and manage real-time traffic conditions.
- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Coordinate with agencies, law enforcement, emergency responders, and municipalities to streamline response efforts and provide real-time traffic updates.
- Data Analysis and System Improvement: Analyze traffic data and incident reports to identify trends, improve traffic management strategies, and recommend future ITS enhancements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Extensive knowledge of ITS operations, incident management, and real-time traffic monitoring.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and multi-agency coordination.
- Proficiency in ITS and traffic management software, including systems for traffic monitoring and control.
- Excellent decision-making and crisis management abilities in high-pressure environments.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering, Emergency Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in ITS or traffic operations, including 5+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
