Position Title: Joinery Draftsman
- Location: Dubai Silicon Oasis ( DSO) & Dubai Industrial City ( DIC)
- Reports To: General Manager - Joinery
The Draftsman in the joinery industry is responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and plans for custom woodwork, cabinetry, furniture, and other interior and exterior joinery products. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and design principles, as well as proficiency in CAD software.

A. Technical Drawings:_
Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed joinery components using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Develop accurate and detailed shop drawings for custom cabinetry, furniture, doors, windows, and other joinery elements.
Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements.

B. Design Collaboration:_
Work closely with architects, designers, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into detailed joinery drawings.
Provide design input and suggestions to enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability of joinery products.
Review and interpret architectural and interior design drawings to extract necessary information for joinery production.

C.Material and Component Specifications:_
Specify materials, finishes, hardware, and joinery techniques for production.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure that the chosen materials and techniques align with manufacturing capabilities and project budgets.

D.Quality Control:_
Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and meet quality standards before submission.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of drawings as projects progress or as changes are requested by clients or project managers.
- E_.Project Documentation:_
Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and other documents required for manufacturing.
Site Surveys and Measurements:
Conduct site surveys to verify measurements and gather additional data required for accurate drawing production.
Adjust drawings based on site conditions and ensure that all dimensions and details are precise.
Education:
Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on joinery or woodworking.
Certification in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a draftsman in the joinery or woodworking industry.
Proven experience in producing detailed joinery drawings and specifications.
Skills:
Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and materials.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in drafting.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with designers, architects, and production teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
