We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst UAE National to support the Regional FP&A Function in all aspects of Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and successful business.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities would be:
Support the preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, including variance analysis vs Budget/Forecast, results commentaries and other Middle East and Group returns
Coordinate with divisional finance business partners, and business leads in general, in collecting and consolidating all requested data into high quality outputs
Support the preparation of budget/forecast models for the Middle East businesses, consolidate quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts and prepare related commentaries & analysis.
Support the Regional FP&A Function with ad-hoc initiatives and reports
Work closely with Finance Shared Services to assist with audits (internal and external) and statutory and tax compliance requirements
Key point of contact for all other Middle East business support functions financial matters
Support in driving business operational improvement projects and in setting up a strong control environment and promote good financial practices
Monitor compliance to business Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Seek opportunities to learn new skills and aspire to develop within the team
Technical Competencies
Degree in accounting, finance or business
Solid understanding of accounting practices and principles
Working towards recognised accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA
Minimum of 2 years experience in an FP&A environment
Analytical and accuracy focused mindset
High standard of report production (Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI)
Ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively
Strong communication in English (both written and oral)
Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions
Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment
Working knowledge of finance systems and tools, including ERP and EPM
Prior experience within an Engineering Consultancy business desirable

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related
Able to work full time 5 days a week (40hrs / week)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
