The Role!
We are seeking an experienced and skilled litigation lawyer to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing lawsuits, claims, and legal disputes on behalf of the company across Egypt.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the company in litigation matters, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Manage the litigation process from inception through trial or settlement, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, and court appearances
- Prepare and respond to complaints, appeals, and other legal filings in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle urgent cases and police reports promptly, ensuring compliance with legal deadlines and requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams, external counsel, and other stakeholders to gather information and evidence for legal cases
- Provide legal advice and guidance to the company on litigation risks, strategies, and potential outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents in Egypt
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law from an accredited university
- 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation and dispute resolution
- Demonstrable experience in managing litigation cases, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and appearing in court
- In-depth knowledge of Egyptian civil and commercial laws, court procedures, and litigation processes
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple cases simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines
- Proven track record of managing urgent cases and police reports with efficiency and accuracy
- Proficient in using legal research databases and case management software
