We are looking for energetic and passionate Safety engineers to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate must support the development of HSE policies and programs, machine Maintenace and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. And also responsible for running and supervising the workers accommodation.
- Providing training to staff on hazardous materials or processes in order to prevent accidents
Conducting research on new materials or processes to improve safety- Inspecting equipment and facilities to ensure they meet safety standards
Recommending changes to equipment or work methods to improve safety
- Following up on employee injuries to ensure they receive proper treatment and are able to return to work
Creating and maintaining occupational health and safety policies and procedures- Inspecting equipment to identify defects that could lead to accidents
Conducting investigations into accidents, injuries, or illnesses in order to identify the causes and suggest solutions
- Establishing safety standards and policies to ensure that they are followed by all workers
Carrying out regular site monitoring to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented- Scheduled workplace inspection and sending report to the management
Keeping records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
- Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation
Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks- Ensure that monthly inspection of Fire Extinguishers, Exit Lights and Emergency Lighting, are carried out.
Conduct equipment inspection to ensure they are correctly installed and operational.
- Facilitate and schedule repairs of unsafe or damaged equipment.
Organize safety training to educate company staff on necessary safety principles.
- Resolve the problem in the camp.
Decision making in the camp with approval from management.- Ensure discipline in the camp and to follow company/camp policies.
Handle immediate first aid and inform HSE/doctor in case of emergency.
- Report accident/incident of staffs to HR/Admin Department for necessary immediate action.
Ensures timely ordering and maintenance of inventory of all camp supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for the maintenance and operation of the camp facilities.- Maintain monthly report for any repairs on camp facilities including plumbing, painting, carpentry, cleaning, and electrical work. i.e, AC.
Ensure to track and follow-up with AMC contractors as per the scheduled visit and report any problems.
- Assist in room allocation for new joiners and staff relocation. Coordinates all necessary asset requirements for the employees.
Arrange the Transportation / Medical facility if any employee falls sick.- Prepare an Accommodation occupancy report.
Attend the camp inspection from any government bodies.
- NEBOSH certificate / diploma.
3 years experience in relevant role (Ideally within manufacturing in the UAE)
- Working knowledge of HSE regulations/laws within the UAE.
Trained and competent internal auditor.- Microsoft office suite user.
Good command over English
- Ability to work within a team.
