Job Description

Bank of Jordan, a prominent financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized L.C. Processing Clerk to join our team. As an L.C. Processing Clerk, you will play a critical role in facilitating smooth and efficient processing of Letters of Credit (L.C.) for our valued clients. Responsibilities

  • Process letters of credit (L.C.) applications and documents accurately and efficiently
  • Review documentation to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and bank policies
  • Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and correspondent banks to resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Prepare and issue L.C. amendments and other related documents
  • Maintain accurate records of L.C. transactions and ensure proper documentation archiving
  • Ensure timely communication with customers and provide updates on the status of L.C. requests
  • Collaborate with the trade finance team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service delivery
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to L.C. processing
  • Contribute to process improvements and participate in system enhancements and testing

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Prior experience +2 in L.C. processing or trade finance is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and banking practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document review and processing
  • Proficient in using banking systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus
