Job Description
- Responsible for the coordination and direction of all the activities of the Geotechnical & Construction Material testing Laboratory
- Responsible for the technical management, quality control and assurance, safety, customer and employee relations, new capability development and cost control.
- Co-ordinate with field and laboratory staffs, supervise and direct staff and workforce as and when required.
- Ensure effective implementation of Lab QMS and responsible to take appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Responsible for planning, direction, execution and supervision of ground investigation and final reporting
- Participate in management review meetings and resolve problems related to processes and quality.
- Maintain the equipment and machinery suitable for the technicalities of the drilling/testing processes.
- Ensure that all lab requirements are fully met in terms of structural and environmental criteria.
- Monitor and improve the performance of the lab and field staff.
- Responsible for the staff recruitment and arranging the training based on the training need.
- Train the lab staff on the correct use of lab instruments and methods.
- Ensure that the staff always follows the industry standards and safety regulations for handling and disposing the test samples.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/master's degree in Geology/Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
- ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 certified (General Requirements, Uncertainty Calculations, Risk Management (ISO/IEC 17025: 2017-ISO 31000 :2018))
- Minimum 8-10 years experience as Lab Manager / Division Head / Lab Incharge of Geotechnical & Construction Material testing lab
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.
