Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed planting plans.
  • Create signature and exciting planting schemes.
  • Provide expert horticultural advice to the Landscape team and other departments.
  • Upskill the Landscape team's knowledge of horticulture with continued CPDs.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the wider international team on projects, providing planting ideas from concept through to detailed design.
  • Prepare and review planting plans.
  • Prepare and review planting schedules.
  • Prepare and review horticultural specifications.
  • Prepare and review landscape management and maintenance plans.
  • Assist with the design of horticultural projects, including the design of both temporary and permanent nurseries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Membership in a relevant chartered institute.
  • Experience working on large-scale landscape projects, preferably in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
  • In-depth horticultural and arboricultural knowledge and training.
  • Knowledge of both terrestrial and aquatic plant communities
  • Understanding of sustainable landscapes, natural ecosystems and biodiversity.
  • Understanding of the concepts of climate-smart landscape and climate-smart agriculture
  • Proficiency in IT software, including CAD/Revit, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management abilities, including prioritization, multitasking, punctuality, and accurate task estimation.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and up-to-date knowledge.
