In partnership with our client, and independent hospitality company with a great portfolio of approachable and trendy brands, we now have a great opportunity for an ambitious Bar Manager for a very cool Beach Club opening in Dubai, UAE. The concept is trendy and relaxed - glam meets Jungle vibe. Ideally, we are looking for someone from a Latino background, who understands the culture and cuisine of Latin America and who has 1-2 years proven experience in a similar role within luxury properties. Previous Beach Club experience is a major plus.
Some of your responsibilities:
- Prepare the venue for service pre-shift, ensuring all standards are met for a slick service.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the venue is top standard.
- Ensure the skills and presentation of the team are always professional and reflective of the brand.
- Recruit, interview, hire and train new bar staff employees
- Manage ordering. Par-levels and FIFO is properly organized
- Create cocktails and drinks lists, specials and promotions
- Advertise the daily, weekly and monthly promotions of the bar
- Ensure staff is following all food control and safety regulations
- Create employee schedules based on expected customer numbers
- Hold staff briefings and communicate relevant information between the kitchen, bar and front of house.
- Ensure each guest receives personable, friendly and professional service.
- Ensure your knowledge of F&B, venue and area is excellent and always up to date
- Cash handling and stock takes, ensuring the financial profitability of the beverage operation
- Other tasks may also be required as the requirement arises.
About you:
- At least 1-2 years in a similar role (ideally in a beach Club or similar) in a high quality or luxury hotel or venue.
- Excellent knowledge of mixology, cocktails and other beverages.
- Well versed and experienced in LATAM Fine Cuisine.
- A proven leader of teams with a positive attitude and sound problem solving skills.
- Ability to stay calm in pressure and perform with a smile.
- Ability to work outside in sometimes high temperatures.
- Excellent presentation, elegance and eloquent language skills.
- Excellent English (written and spoken) and Spanish speaker minimum conversational level.
- Available to join in or around September 2024.Â
