Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing, and folding linens, towels, and other fabrics used in our holiday homes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently to ensure all laundry is cleaned and delivered to properties on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other fabric items from multiple properties.
- Inspect linens and towels for damage or stains and ensure high-quality laundering results.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Organize and maintain laundry supplies, ensuring stock is sufficient and replenished as needed.
- Separate and hand over damaged items for repair or replacement as necessary.
- Coordinate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of cleaned items to holiday homes.
- Follow proper safety and sanitation guidelines in the laundry area to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
- Report any laundry equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor for prompt repair.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality and service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar role, preferably in the hospitality or holiday home sector.
- Knowledge of laundry equipment operations and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to handle a high volume of laundry.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards in a laundry environment.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a hotel, holiday home, or residential cleaning service.
- Knowledge of handling delicate fabrics and treating stains effectively.
