Job Description
Main Duties.
- Manage daily laundry operations, including scheduling, quality control, and inventory management
- Supervise, train, and evaluate laundry staff to maintain peak performance and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all laundry processes
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize laundry operations and reduce costs
- Maintain and troubleshoot laundry equipment to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with other departments to meet linen and uniform needs
- Monitor and control the use of chemicals and supplies to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and financial reports
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints related to laundry services promptly and professionally
- Implement environmentally friendly practices in laundry operations where possible
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Laundry Manager in a luxury hotel or similar setting
- In-depth knowledge of laundry operations, equipment, and chemical usage
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in inventory management and budgeting
- Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency and quality control
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in laundry operations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in using laundry management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
